PURPOSE:To record a multicolor document from a monochromatic document forming device by providing a recording color memory means for storing the recording color corresponding to every predetermined unit of the monochromatic data inputted from an interface means. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 9 issues the starting command of a printer engine 5 to an engine control part 6 and the data of a Y-component is transmitted to the engine control part 6 from a page memory 10 in synchronism with the operation of the printer engine. In the printer engine 5, an electrostatic latent image is formed on a photosensitive drum by a semiconductor laser in matching relation to the data of the Y-component sent from a control part 3 and developed by Y-toner to form a visible which is, in turn, transferred to paper to be fixed thereto. Next, electrostatic images are successively formed on the photosensitive drum on the basis of the data of M-, C- and K-component from the page memory 10 by the same procedure to be developed by toners and the obtained toner images are transferred and fixed to paper and the paper on which the images is recorded is discharged out of a recording apparatus 2. |
