摘要 |
PURPOSE:To obtain a composite material light in weight, excellent in shock absorbability and high in rigidity by a method wherein a fiber high in strength and elastic modulus and having a specific tensile elastic modulus is used as reinforcing fiber and a methacrylate vinyl ester resin is used as matrix resin to hold the mechanical characteristic within a predetermined range of values. CONSTITUTION:The fiber high in strength and elastic modulus and having a tensile strength at least 20g/denier to obtain impact resistance and a tensile elastic modulus of at least 300g/denier is used as the reinforcing fiber of an organic fiber composite material. A matrix resin is also used to obtain shock resistance and improve rigidity. Specifically, the matrix resin is such as to give a bending elastic modulus of at least 720Kg/mm<2> to the composite material at the 50% volume containing fiber and has the maximum bending shock load of 1.2Kn/cm<2> to improve the shock resistance. The use of the aforesaid materials provides both improved shock resistance and rigidity. |
