METHOD FOR RECOVERING WATER FROM EXHAUST GAS OF WET DESULFURIZATION

PURPOSE:To make it possible to recover water which contains scarcely an ingredient caused by a mist accompanied with an exhaust gas and to attempt to solve problems of scaling and wear of a pump which have been conventionally produced in a cooling tower by removing the mist in the exhaust gas before the exhaust gas is cooled. CONSTITUTION:An untreated exhaust gas A is introduced in a cooling tower 1 and a liq. in a liq. container 2 is sprayed in the cooling tower 1 through a circulation pipe 4 by means of a pump 3 to moisten and cool the exhaust gas and to transfer it into an absorption tower 5 and in the absorption tower 5, an absorption liq. contg. Ca compd. in a liq. container 6 is elevated by means of a pump 8 and is sprayed from a spray nozzle 10 into the absorption tower 5 through a pipe 9 to perform desulfurization treatment of the untreated exhaust gas from the cooling tower 1. The desulfurized exhaust gas passes on the liq. face of the stored absorption liq. in the absorption liq. container 6 and after mist accompanied from the absorption tower 5 is separated by means of a mist separator 12, it is cooled indirectly by means of a cooler 14 and it is exhausted as a treated exhaust gas D. The mist separated by means of the separator 12 is returned to the liq. container 6. A part of water in the exhaust gas is condensed and is collected in a recovery water tank 18.
