PURPOSE:To surely detect the step-out of a stepping motor which is an acutuator for controlling the damping force by using an existing sensor. CONSTITUTION:The signal GFR from an acceleration sensor of a right front wheel is compared with the signal GRR from an acceleration sensor of a right rear wheel, and a judgement is made that the stepping motor of the right front wheel or the right rear wheel is out of step when the difference exceeds the specified value. The signal GFL from an acceleration sensor of a left front wheel is compared with the signal GRL from an acceleration sensor of a left rear wheel, and a judgement is made that the stepping motor of the right front wheel or the right rear wheel is out of step when the difference exceeds the specified value. Alternatively, the respective signals GFR, GFL, GRR, GRL from the acceleration sensors of the respective wheels are compared with the average value GAV, and a judgement is made that the stepping motor of the wheel is out of step when the difference exceeds the specified value. |
