<p>PURPOSE: To support a wound effectively in aseptic and relatively dry conditions by providing the article with a rope-type body made of a hydrogel material for filling a cavity of the wound and supporting a diseased area with it by means of a detaching layer arranged inside thereof. CONSTITUTION: This wound covering article 10 has a hydrogel material of a substantially rope-form body 12 which has a predetermined length for filling a cavity of a wound E. As the hydrogel material, there may be used a viscous soft material which can absorb humor such as wound exudate, sweat and so on, which cannot be cut into pieces, and which is superior in biscompatibility, non-stimulation, fluid absorbency, disinfectance and cushion properties. Furthermore, in the covering article 10, a detaching tank 14 of the covering article extending outward from an end 16 within a rope shape body 12 is arranged in order to facilitate detaching thereof. Both ends of detaching tank 14 are formed as pull tabs 18, 22 which provide a means for removing the wound covering article 10 from the wound W.</p> |
