<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a soot filter which has small exterior dimensions and a simple structure, and is inexpensive and easy to operate. CONSTITUTION: A soot filter 1 for diesel engines, which is attached to a motor vehicle has attached to an exhaust pipe 12 a filter casing 6 in which filters 7 are attached, which can be regenerated by hot gases. The filter casing 6 attached to the motor vehicle has instead of an internal hot gas generator a connection 10 to which an external mobile hot gas generator 2 can be releasably connected. An engine exhaust gas supply is closed when the hot gas generator 2 is connected.</p> |
