PURPOSE:To constitute an ultrasonic probe having a number of ultrasonic transducers using conventional connectors each with a limited number of pins by providing connectors each comprising at least two, and forming one ultrasonic image from the output of each connector and from the output of each of the pluralities of connectors. CONSTITUTION:Ultrasonic transducers 1 from 1CH to nCH have their outputs connected to a connector 3A via wiring 2A. The ultrasonic transducers 1 from (n+1)Ch to 2nCH have their outputs connected to a connector 3B via wiring 2B. Connectors 5A, 5B for fitting with the respective connectors 3A, 3B are mounted on the surface of the outer frame of a diagnostic device main body 20. The output of each pin of the connector 5A is input to a transmitting and receiving circuit 6A and the output of each pin of the connector 5B is input to a transmitting and receiving circuit 6B. An ultrasonic probe having the greater number of ultrasonic transducers can thus be connected to the diagnostic device main body using conventional connectors each having a limited number of pins. |
