PURPOSE:To obtain a lubricant compsn. excellent in heat resistance, abrasion resistance, demulsibility, rustproofness, etc., by compounding a base oil with an alkali metal carboxylate, a polyalkylene glycol monoalkyl ether, and a specified ant. of a specific phosphorus compd. CONSTITUTION:A base oil (e.g. a hydrogenated refined mineral oil) is compounded with 0.01-2wt.% alkali metal carboxylate (pref. an alkali metal salt of a 4-36C fatty acid, e.g. potassium oleate), 0.01-5wt.% polyalkylene glycol monoalkyl ether (pref. an ether of a 6-22C satd. or unsatd. alcohol with 2-12C polyethylene glycol or 3-18C polypropylene glycol, e.g. polyoxyethylene octyl ether), and 0.01-2wt.% at least one phosphorus compd. selected from the group consisting of zinc dithiophosphate, a phosphoric ester compd., and a phosphite compd. (e.g. zinc diethylhexyl dithiophosphate). |
