<p>PURPOSE:To produce an urethane compound in a high yield under a mild condition without wasting a dicarbonate. CONSTITUTION:A heterocyclic compound containing an amino group and a nitrogen atom as a hetero atom, e.g. ethyl 2-amino-4-thiazoleglyoxylate is reacted with a dicarbonate of the formula (R<1> is an alkyl, an alkenyl or an aralkyl), e.g. di-tert-butyl dicarbonate in the presence of an aromatic tert-amine in which an aromatic ring is bonded through an aliphatic tert-amine or an alkylene group to its nitrogen atom, e.g. N,N,N',N'-tetramethylethylenediamine.</p> |
