PURPOSE:To provide a tape for printing in which the tape and characters, etc., printed on the tape can be printed clearly without deterioration and a tape cassette containing the same tape, discoloration even if it is exposed with an ultraviolet ray. CONSTITUTION:Ultraviolet ray absorbent is contained in a base material sheet 1 of a tape T for printing, and a heat sensitizer layer 2 in which a color developing reaction is effectively generated by a heat generator of a thermal head without influence of atmospheric temperature is formed on the sheet 1. Thus, both a printed part and a nonprinted part of the tape T, V are effectively protected against an ultraviolet ray thereby to prevent the printed part from being faded as much as possible and to also prevent the nonprinted part from being discolored (yellowed). Characters, etc., are printed with clear and stable printing quality without influence of the atmospheric temperature to the layer 2. Further, a printing ribbon is eliminated to simplify a structure of a tape cassette. |
