Underwater vehicle fitted with propulsion means and detection means and connected by cable to a surface vessel. The vehicle comprises, at the front, a projecting part forming a spherical coupling (20) supporting an elongated antenna (10). The antenna can adopt three work positions, two horizontal positions for detection of a bearing and a vertical one for detection in elevation, as well as a transit position for protection of the antenna. The vehicle is saucer-shaped towards the front and has a notch (1) at the rear, enabling the cable to sway in all directions. The vehicle is compact, the antenna position is controllable and the cable can move downwards. |
