There is described a new process for the preparation of substituted 2-phenyl-5-(3-phenoxyphenyl)-1,1,1-trifluoropentanes of general formule (I) in which R<1> is fluorine, chlorine, methoxy, difluoromethoxy, ethoxy or trifluoroethoxy, and R<2> and R<3>, independently of each other, are hydrogen or fluorine, and also intermediates for the preparation of these compounds.
