Wind motor with a mast which has a mast base, a mast head which can be rotated about a vertical axis according to the wind direction, and a propeller shaft which is mounted in the mast head and to which a propeller is joined, it being possible to drive a generator indirectly or directly via the propeller shaft. The mast can be retracted or extended out to different mast heights. At least two propellers which differ in relation to the diameter of the propeller circle can be connected to the propeller shaft. The different propellers can be deposited on propeller-accommodating devices distributed around the mast base. The mast head can be set about its vertical axis according to the propeller-accommodating devices. The mast can be set to different mast heights according to the wind speed. Moreover, when the mast has been sufficiently retracted, a propeller connected to the propeller shaft can be deposited in a propeller-accommodating device, or a propeller deposited in a propeller-accommodating device can be connected to the free propeller shaft.
