The alarm has a radioactive source made up of Radium with a metal conductor of Platinum. The alarm is designed to blend with its surroundings, and for instance to be placed in a hole in the wall. The radiation sets off an alarm if someone enters the beam, and cannot be vandalised. The only way to switch it off is by a special key which is inserted into the radioactive material. ADVANTAGE- Not visible, highly reliable, cannot be tampered with.
