<p>PURPOSE:To control the data generated quantity of an image data compression device for normally generating data quantity which coincides the data rate of a transmission line. CONSTITUTION:The number of bits of the data stored in a buffer memory 12 from an image data compressor 11 is counted by counters 13, 14 for every frame, and a certain frame, the previous frame and the frame previous to the previous frame are recorded. The increase/decrease of the data quantity of these frames is discriminated and data generated quantity is controlled by a control means 15 according to the status. The difference of the difference of each frame and the proper value of buffer capacity is positively and negatively encoded and the generation of a control signal is enabled by the gate output by the code.</p> |
