PURPOSE:To provide a sealed type lead acid battery having high reliability and small size, and manufactured at a low cost. CONSTITUTION:In a sealed type lead-acid battery constructed by using a cell which receives a group of plates consisting of a positive pole, a negative pole and a separator and has a terminal lead and a lid made of synthetic resin and having a terminal plate so as to receive the cell in a metal case, so that the terminal part for making contact with an device is exposed above the cell via the lid, a concave part 16 is provided on the upper corner of a cell 1, a terminal lead 2 is exposed from the concave part 16, and a pair of terminal plates 4 are formed in one body with a lid 6. One end of the terminal plate 4 is exposed on the upper surface of the lid 6, a lead plate 5 is formed so that it may project vertically downward from the lid 6, the lead plate 5 is positioned to face to the concave part 16 of the cell 1, and the lead plate 5 is soldered to a terminal lead 2. A groove 21 is provided on the lid 6 on out side of the lead plate 5 by transversing it in parallel to the lead plate 5, and the lid is folded downward from the groove 21 after soldering. |
