PURPOSE:To provide a recording apparatus using the interlace recording method, by which an invalid recording region is made small as much as possible, the length of a secondary scanning head is made short, and the high-resolution recording and the high-speed recording are performed without the increase in price. CONSTITUTION:A recording element group 306 is constituted so that N pieces of recording elements are arranged in the secondary scanning direction at a K-dot interval and the deviation of colors in the secondary scanning direction is set at an H-dot interval. A buffer memory 303 stores information data as image data. A processing means 304 selects the image data in conformity with the arrangement of the recording elements from the buffer memory and supplies the data into the recording element. A control means 305 performs the main scanning and secondary scanning operations for performing the recording in the recording element group. These parts are provided. This is the recording apparatus for performing the secondary scanning sending, by which (K+alpha-1) times of the sending in the secondary scanning direction as the recording operation in the control means and one time of the secondary scanning sending at an interval of S dots are repeated. |
