PURPOSE:To provide a collision detecting device for a webbing winding device having high reliability for the detection of the vehicle quick deceleration state with a simple structure. CONSTITUTION:The lock lever 38 of a webbing winding device 12 is normally set to the state as shown by a solid line, and it is rocked to the position shown by a two-dot chain line when a vehicle is quickly decelerated. The first switch 50 and the second switch 52 are vertically arranged to detect this rocking. Higher reliability is obtained as compared with the structure detecting the load (tension) applied to a webbing 1C. The structure can be simplified.
