PURPOSE:To transmit a clear binary image without lowering compression effect by encoding the binary image and a moving image individually on a transmission side and superposing the images after they are decoded, respectively at a reception side. CONSTITUTION:At a transmission side, a moving image encoder 5 converts the moving image signal from a television camera 2 into a moving image code 102. On a reception side, a moving image decoder 9 converts a moving image code 107 into a moving image signal 109. A binary image decoding means 10 converts a binary image decode 106 into a binary image signal 110. Next, an image superposition means 12 prepares a moving image signal by superposing the binary image on the moving image from the moving image signal 109 and the binary image signal 110. This moving signal is imparted to a display 15 and the moving image is made to display. |
