PURPOSE:To make the ends of the whole wirebonding lead of long comblike lead frame form the clean and flat surface having specific roughness vertical in the thickness direction of a material. CONSTITUTION:The ends 2, 3 of wirebonding lead formed on both ends of long comblike lead frame 1 comprising integral two rows are held by a pair of whet stone heads 4, 5 arranged in a chevron shape in the feed direction of the lead frame 1 so as to be polished by properly dressing the whet stone heads 4, 5. Through these procedures, the whole end surfaces 2, 3 of the lead of comblike lead frame 1 can be vertical in the thickness direction as well as having specific roughness while enabling the clean and flat surface to be formed in the least dispersion. |
