The cutting tool includes a frame (2) supporting a table (3) on which a piece of wood to be cut (30) can be clamped (12). A tool carriage (6) runs on a pair of rails (7a,7b) beneath the table to carry the cutting head (15). The cutting head is driven by an electric motor, and includes a pair of cutting wheels (13a,13b) lying parallel on a common axis. These wheels are spaced to form two grooves, and have a guide wheel (16) parallel to them and spaced from them. This runs along the edge of the piece of wood to be shaped. USE - Shaping edge of wood in order to provide 'tongue-and-groove' type joint between adjacent beams of chalet.
