LARGE-CAPACITY PICTURE DISPLAY METHOD AND ITS DEVICE

PURPOSE:To display a large-capacity picture fetched in a picture memory on a standard monitor television by using an inexpensive and easy means. CONSTITUTION:The large-capacity picture from a CCD camera 4 is fetched in the picture memory 7 in timing by a timing generating means 11 dedicated to the large-capacity picture data, and the picture data is read out in timing by an NTSC standard timing generating means 12 and displayed on the standard monitor television 10. In the case of reading out the picture data, the entire picture is compressed by a thinning display address generation circuit 20 or one part of the picture is segmented and displayed by a segmenting display address generation circuit 21, so that the entire compressed picture or the partial detail picture of the large-capacity picture is viewed.
