In combination with an apparatus for measuring the imbalance of a rotary body in at least one plane normal to the axis of rotation of the rotary body including devices for generating signals representative of the magnitude and angular position of the imbalance in the plane, circuitry responsive to the signals for determining the magnitude and angular position of the imbalance in the plane and a display for displaying the magnitude of a weight to be added to the body in the plane to correct the imbalance, the improvement comprising a position indicator responsive to the magnitude and angular position determining circuitry for indicating directly on the body the angular position where the weight should be attached to correct the imbalance, wherein the position indicator comprises at least one device for projecting a visually perceptible mark onto the body.
