PURPOSE:To make the scale of a system concerning the diagnosis of a fault small and to shorten the time required for repairing the fault so that a self- repairing system is made a practical machine incorporating type system. CONSTITUTION:The diagnosis of the fault is performed by comparing a value obtained by making each sensor value a fuzzy qualitative value basing on a fuzzy membership function with a virtual case. When the fault is diagnosed to exist as the result of comparison, repairing operation for repairing the fault is read out from a work script table 15. In such a case, repairing operation information is stored corresponding to respective areas obtained by dividing a state space possible to be taken by the device into plural areas. As for the diagnosis of the fault, an actuator is operated until the area to which the state of the device belongs, is changed from the present area to the different area, and the effective repairing operation is performed in a short time. |
