PURPOSE:To provide a photovoltaic power generator capable of highly accurately and stably following up the maximum power point of a solar battery, efficiently taking out the maximum power of the solar battery and performing a highly efficient operation. CONSTITUTION:This generator is provided with the solar battery 1, a power transformation means 2 for transforming DC power generated from the solar battery 1 to the AC power of a constant voltage to be outputted, power detection means 7 and 8 for detecting the output power of the solar battery 1 and a power control means 6 for outputting a current reference for controlling the output current of the power transformation means 2. Then, for the power control means 6, a first mode for increasing the current reference by a prescribed fluctuation width and a second mode for decreasing it are switchably set and when the power fluctuation amount of the output power in the set mode is equal to or lower than a set value set beforehand, the set mode is inverted. |
