<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a production method of photosensitive toner with little variation of photosensitivity between each of toner partifcles and having excellent photosensitivity by pretreating zinc oxide in a lower alcohol. CONSTITUTION:Granular photosensitive toner is produced by dissolving or dispersing zinc oxide as an inorg. photoconductive material, sensitizing dye, and binder resin in a solvent, and drying this soln. or dispersion while spraying the material. The zinc oxide is pretreated in a lower alcohol. Physically or chemically adsorbed water is firmly adsorbed to the surface of zinc oxide, and the water adsorbed to the surface of zinc oxide is change into ether and replaced with alkoxy group (-OR) by treating the zinc oxide having adsorbed water in a lower alcohol (R-O-H). Thereby, hydrophilicity of zinc oxide is decreased, and it is possible to improve dispersibility of the toner without preventing the sensitizer dye from coming near.</p> |
