PURPOSE: To provide a device for suppressing the heat losses of hot material. CONSTITUTION: A chamber including upper, lateral and lower heat insulating walls 94, 96 is provided with a door means 108 for closing its end and the inner space of the chamber regulated by the same is accessible from at least one end of the chamber for putting in and out of the hot material. A means 120 for lifting and holding the hot material above the lower wall of the chamber is disposed. The chamber includes a bearing means 10 for movably supporting the chamber weight on the moving path surface below the lower wall so that the hot material is protected from the heat losses even at the time of movement.
