The preparation is used for therapeutic and prophylatic treatment of disorders of the digestive tract that occur when pathogenic and/or secondary-pathogenic bacteria are present, for example, in the presence of Helicobacter pylori. For this purpose a concentration of at least 5 mu m of a polypeptide antibiotic per ml of liquid must reach the site of action. This is done by administering a defined dose.
