Clip fastening hinge for sun visor in vehicle - has ratchet grip catch in hinge socket with finger pressure release

The sun visor is mounted to the vehicle on a support arm with a swivel joint. In the normal setting, the visor is further held by a clip fastening hinge which is gripped by a fixed block (4) with a ratchet operated locking catch (6) which either secures the hinge or releases it. The catch has a release tab (11) which is operated by finger pressure. The ratchet grip (14) holds the catch in either setting. Pressing back the visor hinge bar automatically closes the catch. ADVANTAGE - The simple ratchet action catch has a constant support irrespective of temperature and is simple to operate.
