Analysis and control of microorganism culture - by measuring cloudiness of nutrient to show growth and give control indications

To analyse and/or control the culture of microorganisms, the culture is placed in a nutrient solution. The growth parameters are measured through measurement of the nutrient cloudiness. Also claimed is an appts. with a monitor (12) to measure the cloudiness in the nutrient (16) solution. The measurement signals (SM) are passed to an evaluation and/or control electronics (18) which generates an output signal (S) showing the culture growth and a control signal (SSt) dependent on it. USE/ADVANTAGE - The system is for the analysis and/or control of the culture of microorganisms for chemical and microbiological process technology. The method gives a high throughput with a simple operation, with high reliability and accuracy.
