Pelleted seed stock - including spores of Bacillus subtilis in the pill shell to act as plant protection agent after planting the seed
摘要
Pelleted seed stock in which active organisms of the Bacillus subtilis type are incorporated into the seed pellet in spored form. The spored cells may be introduced in the form of a spore suspension or in powder form. The spore suspension of Bacillus subtilis pref. has a germ concn. of at least 10 power 10 cells/ml. Vitality-enhancing agents such as enzymes, fertilisers or nutrient broths may also be introduced into the seed pellet. USE/ADVANTAGE - Esp. for prodn. of pelleted tomato and cabbage seeds which provide an in-situ biological agent for combatting organisms known to cause plant disease. The Bacillus subtilis spores retain high viability for long periods after incorporation into the seed pills.
