Sepn of solids from sludge - uses controlled feed of flocking polymers according to measurement of cloudiness

To separate fluids and solids from sludges with a low solids content, flocking polymers are added according to the measured cloudiness of the liquid. The cloudiness is measured before and after the polymer addition, and the amount of polymer added is controlled according to the two measurements. The polymer feed is controlled according to the cloudiness measurement where the initial measured value is known and constant and the measurement value after polymer addition it taken as the feed control value. The cloudiness measurements are taken at a separate pilot container, filled in charges, with the polymer addition at the main system parallel to it. The cloudiness measurements can be taken in the flow at the main system, where the flow speed gives flocking development time before reaching the second. USE/ADVANTAGE - The system is for the processing and disposal of sewage, where the polymer additive assists flocking of the solids for separation. The operation gives min. consumption of the polymer material for a simple and trouble-free action.
