The grab has a pick-up (11) and a remote control (21), which are connected via a guide tube (11a). The guide tube has connections (12) for fastening to the remote control, and to a slide guide (13), which carries the pick-up. The pick-up consists of two opposite clamp frames (15,16), which are brought into active engagement. Each clamp frame has an angled bracket (18). This is angled in a pivot bracket (17), and is guided in the slide guide. The remote control is connected via guides (22) to the control section, which consists of a plastics part.
