Novel imidazopyridine derivatives of the formula I <IMAGE> in which R denotes <IMAGE> and X, -Y = Z-, R<1>, R<2>, R<3>, R<4> and R<5> have the meanings indicated in Patent Claim 1, and their salts exhibit angiotensin II-antagonistic properties and can be used for the treatment of hypertension, aldosteronism, cardiac insufficiency and increased intraocular pressure as well as of disorders of the central nervous system. |
