摘要 The method is based on the use of a signal proportional to the load torque on a rolling section provided at least with a data store and means for speed control, as a calibration measure for the speed control of the next section, in order to vary (i.e. minimise, if possible) the longitudinal tension in the rolled material between the sections. The method, which is implemented in several successive phases which commence with a correction of the initial setting of the rolling speeds, ensures continuous control of the rolling process of the entire billet length. The control process is then analysed and possibly a correction of the rolling speed is made for the next billet. USE/ADVANTAGE - In the metal-rolling industry. Only information about the actual load torques at each section is needed to minimise the longitudinal inter-section tensions.
