Proposed is a plastic sheeting for covering products on support trays so that the products remain securely held in place when the trays are handled. The sheeting, which can be used instead of prior art aluminium cover foil, has a plastic matrix containing a particulate filler of such a type and in such a proportion that the force necessary to pierce the sheeting is reduced to a value below 450 N/mm (measured on an approximately 150 - mu m-thick sheet).
