The invention concerns a load body construction (10) for a vehicle. In the load body construction, the floor unit (13) and the roof unit (14) are connected to the wall units (11, 12) by making use of fastening profiles (17, 18) between the edges of the wall unit (11, 12) and the floor unit (13) as well as between the edges of the wall unit (11, 12) and the roof unit (14). In the construction, such a fastening profile (17, 18) that interconnects the units (11, 13; 11, 14; 12, 13; 12, 14) is used whose cross-sectional shape comprises cavities (29a, 29b...). The shape of the cavities (29a, 29b...) is such that the cavity (29a, 29b...) becomes wider from the mouth (E) of the cavity towards the interior of the cavity. The cavity forms a self-holding locking member, into which the layer (32) of reinforced plastic is already fitted in the stage of manufacture of the unit. Hardened and locked in the cavities, the reinforced plastic (32) fixes the fastening profile (17, 18) into the layer of reinforced plastic (32) and thereby to the rest of the unit construction (11, 12).
