The x-ray device has a C-frame (1) with an x-ray source (2) and an image recording system (3) attached to its opposite ends, in alignment with one another. The position of the c-frame is adjusted via an electric setting motor (7), which is inserted in a closed position regulating loop (6) with a source (5) controlled by the operator providing the required position signal compared with the detected actual position for activating the setting motor. The force applied by the operator is used as the guide parameter, the acceleration of the x-ray device used as the regulating parameter. ADVANTAGE - Provides servo-assisted manually guided positioning.
