The cooking oven comprises a cooking enclosure (1) having, in its rear part, a double wall (2a, 2b) delimiting a compartment (3), inside which a fan (4) is mounted for creating a circulation of air in the enclosure via openings for intake (6) and for delivery (7) of air, and a grill resistor (8) arranged outside the compartment (3) of the enclosure, facing the air delivery openings (7) and serving at the same time as griller resistor and as ventilated heating resistor in the forced-convection cooking mode. An additional electric heating resistor (10) of low power is connected in series with the grill resistor (8) to reduce the power that the latter absorbs only in the forced-convection cooking mode. <IMAGE>
