The valve drive of an internal combustion engine has preloaded sliding cams (3) which can be displaced axially on a camshaft (2) and can be displaced from a first position (S1), in which they act by means of a first lobe (17) on intake valves (6), into a second position (S2), in which they act by means of a second lobe (18) on the intake valves (6). In the first position (S1), the sliding cams (3) rest with a form fit against a stop (7) of a transmission element (5) arranged between the intake valves (6) and the sliding cams (3), and remain in this position for as long as their section (21) is in the region of the stop (7). When the base circle (16) of the sliding cams (3) is reached, they are displaced into the second position (S2). <IMAGE> |
