A switch assembly which is switchable between on and off positions in response to the tilting of the assembly. The switch assembly includes a magnet which is retained within a housing for gravitational movement during tilting of the assembly. The magnet is movable between a distal position, in which it is spaced apart from a magnetic switch, and a position adjacent to the switch. The proximity of the magnet to the switch causes the switch to be either electrically open or closed. <IMAGE>
