This invention relates to a nickel-hydride alkaline battery. In the battery, both negative and positive electrode use an electrode plate comprising a metal net coated with foam nickel to solve the problems of high internal resistance, current collecting and heat releasing. The battery can be used practically as a starting and driving power for electric automibles.
