An extrusion die device includes a die holder and at least one extrusion die insert (20) detachably held by the die holder. The extrusion die insert (20) includes a female die (20b) of a generally cylindrical shape having a die cavity (26) and a discharge passage-way (26), and a male die (20a) having a protrusion part (22). The female die (20b) includes a fitting recess (25) having a generally channel-shaped cross-section formed in one end surface thereof. The male die (20a) is of a generally plate-like shape having portions defining a fitting portion (23). The male die (20a) is associated with the female die (20b) such that the protrusion part (22) is fitted in the die cavity (26) and that the fitting portion (23) is fitted in the fitting recess (25). The die device is durable and retains the original mechanical precision of a new die during its long service life, and can be easily fabricated at high precision.
