The invention relates to a laminate comprising a core layer of a foamed polymer and metallic skin layers which are provided on either side of the core layer. The laminate differs from the prior art in that a hard foamed polypropylene is used for the core layer. The novel laminate proves especially suitable as a construction element in the construction industry, for example as a facade cladding element (cladding panel), or as a construction element for a means of transport (conveyance).
