A device for implanting endoprostheses (1) essentially comprises an external tubular body (2) and an elongate core element (3) located therein. For actuation of the device the core element (3) and the tubular body (2) each have handles (5, 6) on their proximal ends. In order to to produce a positive connection between the endoprosthesis (1) and the core element (3), the core element (3) has a region (10) which is provided with a relief corresponding to the inner shape of the endoprosthesis (3). As a result, a multiplicity of positive engagement points are formed between the endoprosthesis (1), which is enclosed in the folded state, and the core element (3). Such a design of the device permits partially released endoprostheses (1) to be folded again by advancing the tubular body (2) for repositioning of the endoprosthesis (1). Moreover, such an embossing of the core element (3) achieves a safe and reliable mode of operation. <IMAGE> |
