The U-frame carriage comprises beams (2,3,4) arranged in the form of a U, two wheel units (5,6) arranged at the rear end of the carriage provided with screens (10) and at least three lifting devices (14,15) for lifting a container located within the U-shaped area. The screens comprise rear lifting devices (1) for raising the rear part of the container via engagement devices (13). A front lifting device (17,18,19) raises the front end of the container. The lifting devices are arranged to lift the container vertically so that it is parallel the whole time with the ground. - The loading and unloading position for the container can be between its highest and its lowest position. The rear engagement devices (13) are each arranged on a lifting unit (10) comprising a U-shaped cross-section beam which extends parallel with the longitudinal frame components and above the wheel units (5,6) and is fixed to the longitudinal frame components via a pivotable connecting component (12). |
