For the region of the nose bridge (2a) and/or the hinge jaws (2b), the metal lower edges (3) are releasably coupled to the top edge (2) of natural material. Pref. each lower edge comprises a closure block. The two lower edges may form an integral workpiece. Alternatively the lower edges are coupled only at the nose bridge region to the top edge, with free ends. The lenses (4) may be screwed by plastics fibres between the lower edge free ends and the top edge hinge jaws. Nose pads (5) are formed on the lower edges. ADVANTAGE - Easy mounting of the lenses.
