The plates (1,2), 30cm (e.g.) wide, have plain inner and ribbed outer skins (5,6), rigidly connected by transverse webs forming internal box cavities. Two plates are mitre-cut to the required cabinet height, and two or optionally one top-plate are cut to the required width. Rebates machined on the cut edges allow flush fitting of corner trims (29), with square end-covers (36). Inside each corner, an angle-section connection bracket (26) is screwed (28) to the adjoining plates, with the connection bracket carrying an external diagonal projection to which the trim (29) is clipped. Plate fronts (3) include a door check (8), slotted (10) to hold a seal, and hinges which may be concealed within the face-rail (9). Rear recesses (4) support the back-plate (16) and seal, and also equipment mounting rails (18).
