A child's safety harness for use on a chair or seat on a shopping cart. The harness includes a waistband to encircle the child and rail or bar on the back rest of the seat and to be releasably secured thereto. Shoulder straps secured to the front of the waistband are adapted to cross over the shoulders of the child and to be releasably secured to the back rest.
