The invention relates to a heat exchanger with a cylindrical calandria (1) which contains straight tubes for passage of fluid (6) and is fixed, at its opposite ends, respectively to two tubular plates (5), being connected to at least one of these via a flexible connection (7). Between the flexible connection (7) and the end of the calandria (1), there is interposed a rigid annular coaxial junction piece (8) which is connected respectively to the calandria (1) and to the flexible connection (7), projecting sufficiently radially internally and being of sufficient cross-section to limit to the greatest extent the increase of the diameter of the calandria and the displacement of the point of attachment of the flexible connection on the annular piece under the effect of the internal pressure. The invention is applicable to heat exchangers with thin tubular plates and with tubes of great length.
